Began in 2011, the symposium was initially composed of the University of Tsukuba, National Central University, and National Taiwan University. With the joining of National Taiwan Normal University and Kyushu University, the symposium is now of five institute extent. The goal is to boost interaction among Taiwanese and Japanese art history students.
